Guest Faculty collaborator - NST - Smith, Paul - 09.03.2024
Argonne National LaboratoryAbout the role
This research would continue CNM proposal 83273, which targets in-situ Raman spectroscopy of silver molybdate electrodes. Frameworks containing silver ions are one reduction step away from transforming into highly electrically conductive cathodes, and molybdates such as Ag2Mo2O7 demonstrate quantitative reduction where the Ag metal product enables electrical contact to all silver ions when charge balanced with zinc ions. In-situ studies allow us to image the growth of the silver network as a function of reduction extent and provides insight into the synthesis mechanism of zinc molybdate products.
