About the role

Responsibilities

OBXtek is currently staffing for an Executive Assistant, Senior, who will provide support to a General Officer, and must ensure effective use of time and productive interactions with staff and other military/government executives in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Acquisition, Global Power Programs Directorate (SAF/AQP). This office provides executive support to the general officer and independent recommendations on key acquisition issues that cut across all SAF/AQ organizations for direct use by the assistant secretary and military deputy.

 

The objective is to provide specialized expertise to complement the organization’s inherent resources for effective and efficient mission accomplishment and continuity, introduction of innovation, and enhancement of technical competence. Personnel will handle a wide range of executive support-related tasks involving administrative functions, research, and management of tasks and projects. 

 

**Work onsite at the Pentagon is 5 days per week.

 

The tasks for this position include:

  • Responsible for schedule management, office management, communication liaison, information preparation, company records management, data analysis, and representing the General Officer (GO) to others.
  • Uses discretion and judgement and knowledge of organization to facilitate the executive's activities.
  • Conserves the GOs time by reading, researching, prioritizing, and routing correspondence; drafting letters and documents; collects and analyzes information; and initiates communications.
  • Manages GO's appointment schedule by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travel.
  • Completes and manages projects, distributes work to others, follows up on results. Works closely with the GO and other assigned support staff.
  • Plans and orchestrates complex and detailed meetings and events at the Pentagon and NCR locations.
  • Handles confidential information, correspondence, and communications.
  • Any other tasks closely associated with the performance of duties list above and as coordinated with the COR.

Qualifications

Active Secret clearance.

 

A total of 10 years of relevant experience, including supporting a General Officer (G.O) or other military equivalent.

 

Master's degree in any discipline, or a Bachelor's Degree with an additional 8 years of relevant experience.
