Tax Operations Analyst

Bessemer Trust is seeking a Tax Operations Analyst to join our CCO – Data and Tax Operations department. The ideal candidate will have leadership experience, a strong financial industry background, and a keen eye for detail, with a focus on process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Data and Tax Operations teams in a fast-paced environment, managing priorities to meet deadlines.
- Independently and in teams, obtain, update, and verify tax cost data.
- Contribute to projects that enhance data quality, streamline processes, and improve user experience, including gathering requirements, sequencing activities, and documenting procedures.
- Assist in the setup and reporting of fixed income amortization and accretion related to tax cost data.
- Support Custody/Tax Cost teams with tax processing for corporate actions using CCH Capital Changes and other sources.
- Serve as a resource for Client Advisors, addressing inquiries about client tax cost data.
- Assist with testing periodic software upgrades to ensure systems remain functional.
- Build strong relationships both independently and collaboratively across the organization.
- Overtime required during tax season and for project deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- 2–3 years of corporate experience, ideally in financial services or tax operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with FIS Global Plus, Jira, Apex, PL/SQL, and Robotic Process Automation is a plus.
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written) to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills and diligence.
- Strong analytical skills for identifying trends and resolving discrepancies.
- Initiative-taker with a strong work ethic and drive for process improvement.
Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skills, experience, and qualification for the role. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range.
In addition, this position may be eligible for a discretionary incentive-based bonus based on individual and company performance.
Eligible employees may participate in a 401 (K) program with a company profit sharing contribution, medical, dental, vision, life insurance and disability covering and paid holidays, vacation, and sick days.
