Senior Financial Accountant - Inventory

We have an incredible opportunity available for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our finance team! 

The Role You Could Play 

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management, including inventory valuation, reconciliation, and reporting, as well as being a driver of continuous improvement opportunities.  

The key responsibilities include: 

• Take ownership of inventory provisioning. 

• Collaborate with cross functional teams providing expertise and support on accounting systems. 

• Maintain accurate inventory records, monitor inventory transactions and analyse inventory variances. 

• Assist in month-end and year-end inventory closing processes. 

• Prepare inventory reports and provide insights to management on inventory performance. 

• Reviewing and managing freight and duty costs. 

• Support business projects by actively participating in project planning, execution, and implementation phases. 

• Manage item integrity and master data and ensuring data accuracy and consistency. 

What You Will Bring 
 
You will be confident in dealing with various stakeholders, have an analytical mindset. You will have the ability to meet tight deadlines, work under pressure to solve problems, while communicating and simplifying finance systems queries.  
 
You will also need to have the following skills/experience: 

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 

• CA/CPA Qualification. 

• 3 years of experience in inventory accounting or related field. 

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and inventory management best practices. 

• Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel skills. 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 

• High-level attention to detail.
