Job Summary
The VP, Talent is instrumental in shaping our organizational culture, enhancing leadership capabilities, and fostering an environment where every employee can thrive. This role is responsible for driving impactful culture initiatives, developing robust leadership programs, and navigating complex organizational change within fast-growing, innovative environments. This role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, capable of building and scaling programs that align with Masimo's values and business objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Culture & Engagement:
- Lead key initiatives to realize Masimo's culture strategy, ensuring alignment with company values and business goals during and after major transformational change
- Develop and implement employee feedback mechanisms (e.g., surveys, focus groups, ambassador councils) to identify friction points and opportunities for improvement in the employee experience
- Design and execute comprehensive employee engagement programs that foster a sense of purpose, empowerment and leadership at all levels
- Develop a strategic internal communications plan that amplifies the employee value proposition, aligning messaging across channels, geographies, and leadership levels
- Partner with executive leadership to communicate cultural initiatives and progress across the organization
- Leadership & Talent Development:
- Design, implement, and manage a scalable leadership development framework that supports leaders at all levels, from frontline managers to C-suite executives building critical capabilities such as strategic thinking, problem-solving, innovation, and AI literacy
- Establish and oversee high-potential employee development and succession planning processes for critical roles
- Develop and implement coaching and mentoring programs to support leadership growth and development
- Talent Management
- Own the end‑to‑end talent lifecycle, setting global standards and processes for performance management, goal alignment, and differentiated rewards
- Design, implement, and manage performance management processes, integrating performance (what) and values (how) to enhance objectivity, clarity and development
- Implement a data‑based succession planning methodology that identifies and accelerates diverse bench strength for mission‑critical roles
- Partner with analytics team to establish dashboards that provide leaders with real‑time insights on talent health and trends
- Champion a culture of continuous feedback by conducting talent reviews that drive evidence‑based movement and targeted development actions
- Strategic Partnership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the Chief Human Resources Officer and other senior leaders on matters related to culture, talent, and organizational effectiveness
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners and other HR functions to ensure integrated and holistic people strategies
- Analyze talent data and metrics to inform strategy, demonstrate impact, and drive continuous improvement
Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive human resources leadership experience, with significant focus on culture transformation, employee engagement learning & development, and talent management, preferably within fast-growing and transforming organizations
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing scalable leadership development programs, executive coaching, and succession planning for all organizational levels
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization
- Strategic mindset with a pragmatic, results-oriented approach
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and lead effectively through periods of significant change
- Familiarity with modern HR technology stack (HCM, ATS, LXP, etc.) Oracle HCM experience preferred
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
Compensation: The anticipated range for this position is $225,000 - $275,000. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience. This position also qualifies for up to 30% annual bonus based on Company, department, and individual performance.
