IT Finance Manager

Summary:

We are looking for an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, likes to be challenged and values the opportunity to make a difference. The IT Finance Manager will report directly to the Associate Director of IT Finance supporting the office of the CIO. The IT Finance Manager is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and managing the overall IT spend. This role will be the conduit between IT and Corporate Finance. The IT Finance Manager should have a strong financial analysis background with proven career progression, problem solving skills, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to think strategically and creatively.

Manage:

  • Leads the development and execution of the IT Financial Management operations, ensuring that the IT Budget is adequately managed and reported

  • Develop and continually improve budgeting, financial projections and operating forecast

  • Lead the financial planning activities with the IT Leadership Team supporting them with data-driven analysis to help the organization make wise investments

  • Establish and maintain relationships with the Finance Team

  • Ensure all financial tasks and processes are complaint with Corporate Finance policies

  • Ability to have in-depth conversations with finance teams on financial accounting policies, practices, tools, and techniques and apply them specifically to our IT process

  • Ability to influence IT leaders

Financial Management:

  • Prepare monthly capital and expense projections for finance, providing variance analysis comparing actual spend vs. budget and forecast

  • Perform and coordinate project-based financial analysis and modeling to support capital and operational spend, including assisting in business case preparation and submission for financial investment

  • Support the IT Leaders in the creation of project authorization to gain funding for IT Investments

  • Develop a process to track and manage benefits after a project is completed

  • Develop and implement chargeback processes

  • Lead the month end process, ensuring all accruals and reclasses are in place in the proper period

  • Experience managing and analyzing cloud costs to enable spend optimization

  • Analyze, optimize, and implement cost optimization actions over different cloud services

Job specifications

  • Bachelors Degree

  • 3+ years relevant work experience

  • SAP knowledge preferred

  • Strong, effective interpersonal, oral/written communication

  • Strong critical thinking skills

  • Overachiever

  • a strong understanding of cloud technology, financial management principles, and data analysis.

  • Skilled in using tools and software to manage and analyze cloud spending data, such as cloud cost management platforms and data analytics tools.

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between 

$115,300-$165,700
