Responsibilities:

Wrapping Doffed Production Rolls including performing any required testing, labeling, packaging, and disposition activities

Cuts all cores tubes to required lengthens and make sure they have been staged for the shift’s production needs.

Performs "Inspection" duties (inline visual inspection of product) and flags any and all visual defects in product; 30 min. Rotational assignment on Production Line.

Perform any required cleaning activities on the production line (TAC cleaning, Wipe Packs, Wipe Claps, etc).

Assist Line Supervisor or Lead Production Operator with any required Winder adjustments.

Wrapping and Disposing of Bails that result from the accumilation of "edge trim" waste

Assure compliance of shift crew with safety rules.  Report hazardous equipment or procedures.  Recommend improvements to maintain an accident free work area. 

Ensure all housekeeping activities are completed by the end of each shift.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum - High School Diploma or GED with 1-2 years manufacturing experience
  • Preferred - A.S. in a Technical Discipline or related field with 1 year manufacturing experience
  • Mechanical aptitude – Basic computer skills (data entry and retrieval) – Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to use basic arithmetic, specifications, charts, and schedules together with gauges, and adjustable instruments
  • Requires the use of judgment to identify various levels of product quality, to operate equipment, to detect processing defects, to clean and change spinning packs and other related functions within the limitations of recognized standards and procedures.
  • Ability to work as member of a work team in the effective operation of complex machinery and in a safe manner
  • Ability to communicated effectively, both verbally and written, with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to demonstrate the Freudenberg Guiding Principles:  Value for Customers, Innovation, Leadership, People, and Responsibility
