The Account Executive is a customer-facing role, with significant relationship management skills required. This position is high profile in the industry which pursues opportunities based upon client relationships. Responsible for setting pricing levels, negotiating contracts, involvement with strategic planning and leading the sales effort in particular market sectors. The Outside Sales Agent will chiefly be responsible for obtaining new accounts, servicing existing accounts, and generally managing buisness for the local accounts as well as cross-market events. It is the policy of PRG GEAR to provide excellent customer service both internally and externally. Employees are expected to perform all of their duties and responsibilities in accordance with this policy at all times. Does related work as required.
Essential functions
- Cultivates and maintains favorable contacts with key and major accounts of the organization for the sales of products and services and identifying new potential customers and developing a sale and marketing plan to serve these customers.
- Demonstrates products or services and aids in the best application of product or services
- Answers all questions concerning a product or service, with appropriate coordination of sales, negotiations where required
- Participate in all relevant Deal Desk conversations
- Close large show-based transactions and take orders from customers and submit them to Inside Sales Agents for writing and quoting the details.
- The Sales Representative is the first point of contact for large accounts
- This may at times involve going on site as point of contact to the client or at times assisting with show prep in coordination with operations
- Coordinate company technical engineering support and services to ascertain Customer’s needs
- Keeps company system of record (Salesforce) up to date for all assigned accounts to facilitate all downstream reports
- Interprets accounts, trends and records to management
- Monitors competition by gathering information on pricing, products, new products,
- Recommends changes in products and service based on customer needs
- Support marketing efforts of PRG GEAR by marketing new equipment offerings to customers. This would involve both learning the features of equipment and the active development of a marketing approach for this equipment to new customers
- Has complete knowledge of organization's policies, products and equipment, technical knowledge and/or services
- Analyzes records of present and past sales, trends and costs
- Sets account pricing strategy in alignment with company profitability goals
- Participates in the development of annual sales and expense plans at the local level
- Responsible for all account collection efforts with PRG Corporate Finance Team
- Monitors annual sales plan for their area in the country
- May specialize in a specific product or service
- Other duties as assigned by Regional Vice President of Sales.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of event and/or entertainment technology sales and marketing.
- Thorough knowledge of organizations policies and resources.
- Good knowledge of the function and capability of event and entertainment technology equipment.
- Good knowledge of current trends and advancements in event and entertainment technology and the direction of equipment development.
- Thorough knowledge of the technical principles of operation and maintenance of the equipment in inventory.
- Good knowledge of the principles and practices of workplace safety.
- Good knowledge of modern office procedures and practices.
- Good knowledge of common computer productivity tools, such as Microsoft Office.
- Excellent sales presentation skills.
- Excellent closing skills; Good persuasion skill
