THE OPPORTUNITY

We are hiring a Mid-Level Front-end Software Engineer to join our Tagus Clients Team in Portugal!

At the Tagus Clients team, we build the heart of the Wellhub business model. Our mission is to help Wellhub build a truly scalable platform to support dozens of millions of active users, clients, and partners around the world with high availability while being flexible and extensible to incorporate new business models.

The Tagus Clients team plays a crucial role within Wellhub by developing and maintaining the core systems responsible for managing our clients and the commercial conditions that govern our relationships with them. We are the source of truth for all client-related information, ensuring data consistency across the entire Wellhub ecosystem. Our systems empower key business functions by providing them with the necessary data and tools to effectively manage commercial relationships with our clients.

YOUR IMPACT

• Develop, deliver, test, deploy, maintain and improve solutions working with a cross-functional team;
• Write maintainable code and tests;
• Take part in incident resolution and troubleshooting in the production environment, as well as in writing useful and critical post-mortems;
• Support existing systems looking to enhance functionality, increase scale, and transform in new ways to meet our product demands;
• Work in a collaborative and agile environment that prioritizes people over process and is laser-focused on productivity;

WHO YOU ARE

• You're a backend engineer with experience building scalable and high-performing web applications.
• You're proficient in one or more programming languages, such as Go, Java, Kotlin, Scala, or Python, with familiarity in Golang being a valuable plus.
• You have experience developing modern web applications and working with cloud-based architectures.
• You have a solid understanding of developing RESTful web services, collaborating with front-end teams to define APIs, create mocks, and follow HTTP best practices.
• You apply computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, problem-solving, and complexity analysis, to your daily work.
• You have hands-on experience working with SQL/NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or DynamoDB and understand their common use cases.
• You communicate effectively and collaborate well in a team, even in a distributed environment.
• You have professional working proficiency in English and can articulate ideas clearly in technical discussions.
• You have a computer science bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
