In 2021, Samsung announced a new facility in Taylor, Texas, where it plans to invest a minimum $17 billion in the build-out. The site spans 1,200+ acres and the first phase of development will have 4.7 million square feet of floor space consisting of a cluster of semiconductor manufacturing buildings such as a fab, office, parking garage, central utility building, and special utility supply facilities. The Taylor facility will boost the production of semiconductor solutions that will power next-generation technologies in areas like 5G, artificial intelligence (AI) and high performance computing.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Install UNIX/LINUX systems administration on production and/or development servers. Ensure the proper setup and configuration of the systems to meet operational requirements. Use expertise to work with customers and review projects in their respective areas. Provide valuable insights and guidance to ensure project success. Have good experience in multiple scripting languages for systems administration. Leverage these skills to automate tasks, streamline processes, and enhance system efficiency. Monitor systems performance through the use of various scripts and monitoring applications. Proactively identify any performance issues or bottlenecks and take necessary actions to optimize system performance. Develop and maintain cooperative and collaborative relationships with networking, storage, software development, and project management teams. Actively engage with these teams to foster effective communication and teamwork. Provide support to customers running Linux on their application and database servers. Address any issues or concerns promptly and ensure smooth operation of the servers. Ability to communicate clearly with peers, vendors, customers, and management. Effectively convey information, ideas, and requirements to various stakeholders, ensuring mutual understanding. Work on a team to see projects to completion. Actively contribute to project activities, collaborate with team members, and deliver successful outcomes. Available to respond to emergencies and provide necessary assistance to maintain system availability and stability. (Multiple Openings)

Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Employer will accept 3-year Bachelor’s Degree or 4-year Bachelor’s degree.
Requires 60 months of experience involving the following:
1. Writing Perl scripts to automate feature testing and debugging;
2. Unix, Linux, SAN;
