Job Summary:

The Senior Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing workforce management (WFM), data engineering, and vendor operations for the Worker Operations team. This role demands a strategic leader with a strong analytical background, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to drive operational excellence across multiple functions. The Senior Operations Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations, improve processes, and achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Workforce Management (WFM):

• Develop and implement WFM strategies to optimize staffing levels and meet service-level agreements.
• Analyze workforce data to forecast demand, plan capacity, and schedule resources effectively.
• Monitor and report on key WFM metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with HR and training teams to ensure adequate staffing and skill development.

Data Engineering:

• Lead the data engineering team to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Ensure data integrity, availability, and security across all systems.
• Collaborate with data analysts and business intelligence teams to provide actionable insights.
• Drive the adoption of best practices in data engineering, including data governance and documentation.

Vendor Operations:

• Manage relationships with key vendors, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and service-level agreements.
• Evaluate vendor performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with new and existing vendors to optimize costs and services.
• Develop and implement vendor management policies and procedures.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Education:

• Undergraduate or Master’s degree in Physics, Engineering, Philosophy, or Computer Science from a 4-year university.

Experience:

• 5-10 years of experience in operations management within a highly competitive manufacturing or engineering industry.

Qualifications:

• Proven track record of managing and leading cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, forecasting, and performance metrics.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in WFM tools, data engineering technologies, and vendor management systems.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
