Campus Overview

Kettering Health Troy 

  • Kettering Health Troy, formerly Troy Hospital, a three-story, nearly 150,000-square-foot hospital using the latest technology and offering several outpatient services. 
  • Accredited by the American College of Emergency Physicians as a Level 3 Geriatric Emergency Department in 2020.
  • Services include cardiac testing, emergency, intensive care, lab, imaging, surgery and a medical office building for physician practices.  
  • 28 bed facility.  

Responsibilities & Requirements

Job Responsibilities 

The Registered Nurse (RN) utilizes the nursing process in providing nursing care to patients in all settings in collaboration with other interdisciplinary personnel. Utilizing organizational resources the RN acts as a patient advocate for the delivery of safe care including delegation of care and participation in performance and practice improvement. The RN’s actions and communications should reflect Kettering Health Networks mission, vision, values, and policies in interactions with patients, families, and coworker.

The Registered Nurse reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

 

Job Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • Licensed in the state of Ohio as a Registered Nurse
  • At least 12 months of RN experience in an acute care or long term care setting
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification required within six months of hire
  • Must be scheduled a minimum of 288 hours per calendar year
  • Minimum of 1 shifts (12 hours) per a 6 week schedule
  • Weekend Shift Requirement
  • 1 Holiday per year

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience as Operating Room Circulator.
  • Ability to work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technicians to ensure patient safety and effective surgical outcomes.
  • Preparstion of the operating room and ensuring all necessary surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies are sterile and ready for use.
  • Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
