The Work You Will Do:

FMS/AMS Specialist IV, District Six Traffic Operations

 

This position is responsible for the management and oversight of the District’s ITS Device Maintenance contract.  This performance-based contract provides preventive maintenance and repairs to the District’s ITS infrastructure 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.  High availability of the District’s ITS devices ensures the Department’s operational performance is met. Additionally, this position is responsible for the management and oversight of the District’s ITS inventory, including tangible personal property.

Annual Salary Range:

$71,147.02 - $92,072.61

 

A Competitive Area Differential (CAD) additive in the amount of $ 1976.00 will be added to the annual salary.

 

Your Specific Responsibilities:

Develops and manages professional and contractual services contracts and other types of agreements that support Traffic Operations functions (including, but not limited to, Road Ranger Incident Management Service Patrol program, Rapid Incident Scene Clearance (RISC) program and Traffic Incident Management (TIM) teams. Includes developing documentation for contract funding, RFPs and related documents; participates on technical review committees (TRC); evaluates contract work products; evaluates consultants; and processes/approves invoices.

 

Develops and programs Freeway Management System (FMS)/Arterial Management System (AMS) projects that facilitate operation of freeway/arterial management systems and incident management.
