Sr. Financial Analyst, Maitland, FL

SUMMARY
The Senior Financial Analyst performs a broad range of complex business and specialized financial analyses in support of forecasting, modeling, and budgeting initiatives while following general project or department guidelines, procedures, and precedents. The person in this role performs financial modeling to support mergers and acquisitions activities, as well as provides financial analysis of the overall business. The Senior Financial Analyst performs value-added reporting, develops budgets, and researches and analyzes financial information to support leadership so they can make well informed decisions, write reports, and monitor financial movements. The person in this role may perform other duties as required or assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, income statements, forecasts, etc.), taking into account the company’s goals and financial standing.
2. Assist in the analysis of financial data, extracting and defining relevant information. Interprets results for the purpose of determining past financial performance and/or to project future financial probability. Develops financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis by functional area, product line, and business unit.
3. Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance.
4. Develop financial models; conduct benchmarking and process analysis.
5. Support mergers and acquisitions activity including financial analysis, modeling, tracking, and diligence.
6. Interact with outside accountants, financial advisors, and providers to obtain necessary financial and other diligence data.
7. Identify trends, advising the company and recommending actions based on sound analysis.
8. Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with forecasts.
9. Consult with management to guide and influence long term and strategic decision making within the broadest scope.
10. Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives to positively impact the function of the department.
11. Perform other duties as required or assigned.

EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting – required
MBA – preferred
EXPERIENCE
3 – 6 years of relevant experience – required
Private equity or acquisition experience – preferred
Multi-site healthcare experience – preferred
