Registered Nurse (Experienced) – Duke University Hospital –  Operating Room - Durham 

  

* Newly Hired RNs (with at least one year of Nursing experience) will be eligible to receive a $15,000 commitment bonus that will be paid out over 24 months.

  • Cardiothoracic: The Cardiothoracic Unit at Magnet-designated Duke University Hospital has excellent opportunities for CTOR RNs to join our interdisciplinary team. Among the world’s most comprehensive and respected heart programs, Duke Heart has pioneered many milestones that are now global standards of cardiac care.  Our patients’ high survival rates, the number of heart procedures we perform and our comprehensive support services explain why we’ve been a top 10 program for the last 20 years. 
  • Orthopedics: Duke Orthopedics Surgery Department has pioneered several surgical breakthroughs, including novel fracture repairs and advanced surgical techniques. We helped develop commonly used ankle, shoulder, and elbow joint prostheses. Our surgical success is based on decades of ongoing Duke research. 
  • Pediatrics: Duke pediatric general surgeons correct birth defects, remove tumors, repair hernias, and treat traumatic injuries in children from birth through adolescence. Duke is one of the few hospitals in the U.S. verified as a Level I children’s surgery center by the American College of Surgeons. This Level I designation recognizes our commitment to providing the highest-quality surgical care to our young patients. 
  • Neurosurgery: Duke neurosurgeons and brain cancer specialists offer the latest advances in medicine and neurosurgery. Our special programs focus on treating brain tumors, as well as tumors in the head and neck, epilepsy, movement disorders, cranial nerve dysfunction syndromes, peripheral nerve injuries, pain, and more. Duke neurosurgeons are expertly equipped to perform deep brain stimulation, LITT surgery, awake brain neurosurgery, awake spine surgery, stereotactic radiosurgery, computer-assisted brain surgery, and minimally invasive brain and spine surgery, which leaves few and sometimes no scars.
