Journeyman Access Control Receptionist

Radiance Technologies, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking a Journeyman Access Control Receptionist to support security operations for the Project Manager for Cyber and Space (PM C&S) within the Program Executive Office for Intelligence, Electronic Warfare, and Sensors (PEO IEW&S) in Hanover, Maryland. This position plays a key role in maintaining physical security by managing personnel access and monitoring secure areas. The ideal candidate will bring several years of experience in access control operations and a strong understanding of facility security protocols in military or secure government environments. 

Responsibilities

• Perform personnel identification, access validation, and badge issuance for staff and visitors. 

• Ensure compliance through 100% checks of all visitor badges. 

• Conduct package inspections and monitor designated secure areas. 

• Track and log personnel entering and exiting the facility at all access points. 

• Notify appropriate personnel of visitor arrivals and security-related events. 

• Detect and report security violations, unusual activity, or breaches in protocol. 

• Maintain order and professionalism at security access control points. 

• Support general facility security procedures and perform other duties as assigned. 

Required Skills

• Strong attention to detail and observational skills. 

• Experience using access control systems and maintaining visitor records. 

• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and leadership. 

• Capable of working independently and enforcing security procedures consistently. 

• U.S. Citizenship and active Secret clearance. 

Required Experience

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent. 

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in access control or a similar security-related role. 

Desired Qualifications

• Prior experience in a military or secure government facility. 

• Understanding of DoD access control protocols and facility security standards.
