Responsibilities

Atlassian is seeking a Strategy and Business Operations Senior Manager who will partner directly with leaders in our Teamwork Platform organization - that is, the teams responsible for Atlassian’s set of cross-cutting user experiences that differentiate and make Atlassian products greater than the sum of their parts.

There is a strong preference for this role to be based on the west coast of America’s.

Our 1P products don’t work well together and our customers are frustrated - impacting satisfaction, retention and adoption. At Atlassian, the Strategy & Business Operations team is a high impact team that works closely with business leaders across the company. Our team takes a lead role in driving strategy, growth, and business operations. You’ll own projects from inception to execution and delivery, ensuring that the strategies you develop are creative and offer high-quality and impactful recommendations to business partners.

Qualifications

In this role, you'll get to:

• Drive and influence the long-term vision for Atlassian's user-facing platform capabilities

• Partner directly with product and go-to-market teams to support the delivery of strategic recommendations and analyses

• Build financial and analytical models to identify measurable insights, exercise sound business judgement, and develop recommendations to influence and drive consensus across functional leaders

• Define appropriate goals/OKRs to track progress against strategic objectives

• Keep a tight pulse on business performance and reporting, including "quarterbacking" a cross-functional team to diagnose problems when they occur

On your first day, we'll expect you to have:

• 8+ years of experience in corporate strategy, product/platform strategy, strategic finance, or similar, and have a foundational understanding of platform and SaaS business models

• Demonstrated experience in contributing to business case development/strategic recommendations from end-to-end

• Proficiency in financial modelling and building revenue and cost drivers

• Experience supporting qualitative and quantitative customer or market research

• Excellent verbal & written communications skills

It's great, but not required of you to have:

• Industry experience in SaaS or platform business models

• Experience using SQL for analysis

• Knowledge of BI tools and technologies (e.g. Tableau)

Compensation

At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

Zone A: $152,800 - $203,800

Zone B: $137,500 - $183,400

Zone C: $126,800 - $169,100

This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
