Senior Software Engineer (TypeScript) - Device Intelligence

SEON’s Device Intelligence team gathers information on the devices that run our customers’ websites and applications. We analyze hardware, software, and network data to identify fraudsters and malicious behavior. Our research-driven team always seeks new opportunities to improve our fraud detection solution for our customers.

We seek a Senior Software Engineer (TypeScript) to join our Device Intelligence team. You will contribute to our JS SDK and backend components, research and develop new features, and maintain our current products to help our customers stop fraud. 

We expect you to build a scalable, maintainable, and automatically testable product. We seek someone who enjoys experimenting with web development and deeply understands browser APIs, networking and security concepts.

What you'll do:

• Research new solutions to identify devices and users to prevent fraudulent behavior. 
• Analyze the data created by our products, suggesting internal and external improvements and fixes. 
• Research fraud and privacy tools to ensure we can detect them and know the latest trends. 
• Create a technical design based on research results or product requirements
• Deliver the product by creating high-quality code and documentation.
• Maintain our products and infrastructure while looking for opportunities to enhance its performance and save costs. 
• Implement unit, integration, and performance tests to ensure robustness, performance, and reliability.
• Facilitate discussions of the research results, design process, and development of the products.

What you bring:

• 3+ years of experience in web development, JavaScript, TypeScript
• 3+ years of experience in backend development (RESTful APIs)
• Knowledge of cloud technologies, preferably AWS
• Experience with containerization (Docker, K8s)
• Understanding of web networking and security fundamentals
• Ability to read, comprehend, and navigate code in various programming languages.
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to create and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to cooperate with team members (Participate in code reviews, mentoring)
• Out-of-the-box thinking combined with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment

The following is a huge advantage:

• Experience in Analytics, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, or Data Science. 
• Machine Learning skills
• Geospatial analysis experience
• Behavioral biometrics analysis experience
• Domain knowledge of iGaming
