Pay: $17-20/hr, based on experience

 

Sign on Bonus $1500

 

Job Description Summary

The Dispatcher/CSR will be responsible for receiving orders of and providing delivery service to ready-mix concrete customers in a safe, detailed, timely and professional manner. This role will involve the active management of ready-mix orders, drivers/trucks, and ready-mix materials. This position requires the employee to perform a wide variety of Customer Service functions including, but not limited to, the following:

• Utilize Command, Trackit, and any other dispatching or communication software and GPS tracking to ensure drivers and trucks are being safely and efficiently utilized
• Answer the phone promptly with a pleasant and accommodating tone of voice, take the customer’s order/s in a detailed, timely, and professional manner while negotiating delivery times and recording accurate product information on that order  
• Collecting and processing COD payment information including Credit Card, Cash, and Checks.
• Communicate accurate addresses and delivery instructions to drivers
• Connect with drivers, mechanics, and plant managers on truck, plant, and material readiness
• Notify customers in advance of late deliveries or delays in service
• Keep the Customer Service/Dispatch Manager and Sales Department informed of problems or concerns throughout the day that may require their knowledge or attention
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

• Candidate must be energetic with the ability to work in a fast-paced team atmosphere that focuses on customer needs
• Strong computer skills
• Demonstrate the ability to work independently, without direct supervision
• Demonstrate good performance, safety, and attendance
• Demonstrate a willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
• Demonstrates ability to work and communicate well with Customers, Drivers, Supervisors, Dispatchers, and other employees
• Demonstrate the ability to conform to and maintain OSHA, DOT, and all other company or governmental policies, rules, and regulations
• Drug screen and background check required
• This is a Safety Sensitive Position.

Education/Experience

• High school graduate or equivalent

Preferences

• Experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Prior experience in Ready Mix Concrete
• Prior Dispatching experience
