Pediatric Gastroenterologists, East Bay

The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition in the Department of Pediatrics at Stanford University is seeking pediatric gastroenterologists to join the Clinician Educator line at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank. The positions will be based at our East Bay clinical site in Walnut Creek which is a part of the Stanford Medicine Children’s Health enterprise.

• The major criterion for appointment as Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.

Academic rank and line will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

The successful applicant should have a M.D., D.O., or M.D. (or D.O.)/Ph.D. and the typical candidate would be board certified in Pediatrics with subspecialty training in gastroenterology. The successful applicant should have a track record of research and innovation in clinical practice. We expect the successful candidate to participate in the care of and management of children with gastrointestinal disorders. The successful candidate will be involved in formal and informal teaching of pediatric residents, pediatric gastroenterology fellows, residents and fellows in other specialties, medical students and other graduate students. Opportunities for leadership role may be available.
