About the role

Job Description

Manages site Team Member health programs and services; focusing on the promotion and restoration of health, prevention of work related illness and injury, and the protection from work related and environmental hazards. Administers and evaluates Team Member Health Services policies, ensuring legal regulatory and ethical compliance while maintaining consistency with organizational goals and objectives. Conducts Team Member health screenings and provides assessment of Team Member injuries.

Job Responsibility

"1.Provides leadership to Team Member Health Services team members and supervisors by communicating and guiding toward achieving department objectives 2.Develops, communicates, and builds consensus for goals in alignment with the health system 3.Ensures site compliance with federal, state and local legislations and regulations 4.Manages resources including supplies, equipment, staff and information 5.Supervises, hires, trains, disciplines and evaluates the performance of staff; ensures performance appraisals are completed in a timely manner 6.Manages site wide Team Member Health Services programs; conducts annual health screenings and administers immunizations, as needed 7.Conducts surveillance and follow-up on occupational exposures including but not limited to needle sticks, injuries, and other infectious disease exposures 8.Performs return to work clearance, including any communications necessary with Team Member’ care providers 9.May perform pre-placement health clearance for new hires inclusive of obtaining a health history and physical exam 10.Assess and maintain a safe environment for EHS that is conducive to positive health teaching and maintenance and Team Member’ expectations of care and privacy 11.Participates as a member of healthcare team at site and the health system level and various interdisciplinary committees to improve health services care and meet Team Member needs 12.Performs related duties as required 13.All responsibilities noted here are considered essential functions of the job under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Job Qualification

"1.Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies, required. 2.Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner OR a Registered Nurse in New York State, required."
