Position Summary
We are seeking a strategic and data-driven professional to lead analytics efforts within Global Medical Affairs. This role will be responsible for developing and applying metrics, dashboards, and insights that measure and communicate the impact of Medical Affairs across key activities—including scientific engagement, evidence generation, data dissemination ensuring strategic alignment.
The ideal candidate will partner cross-functionally to guide decision-making, identify opportunities to optimize performance, and help shape the future direction of our Medical Affairs strategy. By translating complex data into clear narratives, this individual will play a critical role in demonstrating the value and influence of Medical Affairs to internal and external stakeholders.
This role requires a combination of analytical rigor, business acumen, and communication skills to drive a culture of evidence-based decision making within Medical Affairs. Reporting into the Senior Director, Strategic Management and Excellence, you will partner with colleagues across Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Commercial, and Digital Strategy to drive a unified, insight-led approach to scientific planning and engagement.
Responsibilities:
Define and drive global medical affairs data, analytics and reporting strategy aligned with the broader organizational objectives.
Establish and execute a forward-looking roadmap for delivering meaningful, scalable analytics capabilities and strategic insights that inform scientific engagement, medical planning, and patient impact.
Quantify and lead the development of our Impact Report aimed to communicate the value of Medical Affairs activities—including stakeholder engagement, data dissemination, and evidence generation—by developing metrics, KPIs, and analytical frameworks that demonstrate scientific and strategic impact.
Leverage advanced analytics techniques to interpret complex datasets, transforming data into strategic insights that align with global medical affairs objectives.
Create and continuously refine KPIs and reporting strategies to improve tactical and strategic decision-making.
Design, develop, and deliver dashboards, reports aligned to KPIs that effectively communicate actionable insights to stakeholders.
Serve as the analytics expert for global medical affairs, ensuring compliance with industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Provide guidance medical affairs leadership on medical-related data sets, including understanding nuances, limitations, and opportunities for insight generation.
Drive data initiatives to demonstrate impact and enhance understanding and engagement with analytics outputs.
Define and implement frameworks to measure the impact of medical initiatives using data.
Partner with field medical capabilities role to incorporate field data into the datasets and dashboards.
Partner with medical affairs stakeholders including medical directors and members of the strategy management and excellence team to provide guidance and partnership related to analytic.
Prepare reports, dashboards and other analytic outputs for cross functional partners and executive forums.
Education/Experience Requirements:
BA/BS in a relevant field is required; MS or MBA is preferred. Equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience may be considered.
