Salary Range:

$150,000.00 - $194,000.00

What’s the role? 

We are looking for a Manager of Strategic Finance to support our General & Administrative Org. In this role, you will be responsible for (1) providing strategic leadership to partners across our People & Workplace (P&W) and Legal teams, (2) financial modeling and analysis, and (3) supporting on ad hoc projects and requests.

This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Director, Strategic Finance. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy. 

This role requires your presence in Etsy’s Brooklyn Office once or twice per week depending on your proximity to the office. What does the day-to-day look like?

• Act as the key financial business partner for Etsy’s People and Workplace (P&W) and Legal functions.

• Work with the Senior Director of Strategic Finance to build company-wide budgets and forecasts.

• Assist in forecast and budget model preparation, maintenance and quality control.

• Develop meaningful analytics and reporting for our Executive leaders. 

• Collaborate with Strategic Finance colleagues and accounting, HR and other teams to produce monthly and quarterly financial reviews for the Executive Team and Board of Directors.

• Ad-hoc reporting, analysis and team support as necessary.

• Mentoring, developing and managing a Strategic Finance Analyst.

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:

• 5+ years of finance experience, including experience in financial planning, business analysis, investment banking or related, with proven understanding of financial modeling and analysis tools.

• 1+ years of managerial experience.

• An ideal candidate has led (or played a significant role) in a budgeting and forecasting process and enjoys a continuous planning environment.

• Firm grasp of GAAP; familiarity with e-Commerce and technology is a plus.

• Mastery of Microsoft Office or Google Docs (Excel/Sheets and Powerpoint/Slides) is required.

• Experience with Looker, Workday Financial Management, or Host Analytics is also a strength.

• Ability to communicate insights to senior executives verbally, visually, and in writing .
