Job Summary:

The Senior Application Analyst will support the currently unmanaged software applications associated with medical devices that provide clinical services across the organization. The Application Analyst will ensure that software is reviewed, managed, upgraded, patched, and life-cycled appropriately. Some of the software products that this role would learn to support include GE Centricity, Sensis Vibe, BD Alaris System Manager (Infusion Pump Management Software), Philips Patient Monitoring System, Philips Xper (Hemodynamic system used at VTHH), Cardiolab (Electrophysiology Recording), Romexis-Belcourt Oral Halth, and Carto3 (Electrophysiology Mapping). This role will require solid vendor relationship skills, some project management ability and strong communication skills to be successful. This role will handling day-to-day operational issues, break/fix, configuration, maintenance, scalability and upgrades of these applications, working in a hybrid fashion, on-site and remotely from the Middle Tennessee area and there is some on-call rotations associated with this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designs, builds, installs, configures, and/or develops software to support medical devices.
• Analyzes workflows supported by the assigned products and their relationship to the technical environment in which they operate.
• Perform analysis and design of supporting technical infrastructures and creation of architectural diagrams of IT application ecosystems.
• Supports software implementations for assigned products which may also include testing and QA, reporting, product life cycle, communication/collaboration with customers and vendors, and training users.

• This role will have work that will also be generated, troubleshot and resolved via our enterprise helpdesk ticketing system, so you will be part of a team that supports checking a work queue.

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES

• Configuration Management and Planning (Intermediate): Competent to apply changes or develop new functions based on understanding of the design of the system. Collaborates with knowledgeable users and customers in meeting their business needs. Participates in basic configuration management planning. Manages tasks, schedules activities, and organizes work to meet plan deadlines. Critically evaluates implications of technological changes. Able to interpret business data as it applies to configuration management.
• Technical Analysis (Intermediate): Knows most major/common assigned product group functions. Demonstrates ability to analyze and develop solutions to moderately complex clinical, administrative, financial, operational, and/or technical issues related to assigned product(s). Capable to design, build, configure, install, run reports, and perform maintenance support as instructed. Successfully handles basic break/fix service issues. Demonstrates ability to break down work into manageable and measurable units. Organizes work and meets deadlines.
• Testing (Intermediate): Competent to develop new and execute pre-designed program test data, load testing, and ensures validity of data passed among programs. Understands and uses quality assurance processes, tools, and scripts for testing purposes.
• Product Knowledge (Intermediate): Understands the product in relation to other company products. Has general knowledge of the competition for the product in the marketplace. Understands the product life cycle from development through sales and customer support. Can describe product features and benefits using key product terminology.
