Role: HR Generalist
Location: Austin (flex role)
Forcepoint is seeking a Human Resources Generalist for our global headquarters in Austin. This is an ideal opportunity for an energetic and innovative HR professional who would like to join a fast-moving cyber security leader. The person in this role should have proven experience understanding business concepts and aligning business needs with HR support and solutions to move the business ahead. The candidate should also be able to demonstrate interpersonal awareness to effectively build and sustain strong partnerships with trust and credibility across the business.
Job Duties will consist of:
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation and benefits; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Conduct system changes, business processes and administrative tasks within Workday
- Work with HRBPs, Talent Acquisition and managers to assist with position management
- Coordinate and facilitate onboarding an orientation of new hires
- Coordinate and facilitate the offboarding and exit process for employees
- Work collaboratively to organize and deliver training programs for employees and managers, as needed
- Provide a high level of customer service support that is a consistent interpretation and implementation of policies, procedures, and company practices
- Handles employment-related and sensitive inquiries from applicants, employees, and managers
- Work collaboratively, in a team environment; a self-starter that takes initiative to address issues as they arise
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Work with HRBPs and managers to conduct investigations, document and address performance issues, develop and deliver performance plans.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date employee records and reports
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law.
- Perform various projects and ad hoc requests
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- 2-3 years in an HR Generalist or HR Support role
- Must have strong experience with Workday (HRIS)
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- Strong Powerpoint and Excel skills, facility with reporting, data analytics and manipulation (Vlookup, pivot tables, graphs/charts)
- Familiarity with international employment practices (LATAM, Canada)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, conflict resolution, problem solving skills, organizational skills and extreme attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines; a good multi-tasker
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
