Position Summary

The Manager of the Systems Business Analysts team owns the requirements, elicitation, effort-estimate scoping, design, analysis and functional specification development activities for complex projects or programs. Working closely with stakeholders, product & process owners, and team members, actively manages project and change management lifecycle. The position is required to understand, translate, and document complex business requirements to enable design, development, and implementation of effective and efficient technology solutions. 

Duties

  • Plans, assigns, and directs the activities of the Business System Analyst team involved in the discovery, requirements definition, testing, documentation, and support required of business & Customer facing applications. Take an active role as an analyst providing project support.
  • Recruit, hire, mentor, and coach business systems analyst professionals at various levels of experience and skills. Set expectations and provide timely and open feedback to foster continual individual development.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define business needs. Develop deep understanding of end-to-end process to aid in the facilitation of desired outcomes and expectations. Ensure Analyst’s work product reflects current & future state processes and workflows, business requirements, and support requirements.
  • Assist Stakeholders and business champions in operational readiness activities, including impact analysis and documentation of process change. Provide direction and assistance with change management actives. 
  • Manages assigned project portfolio. Collaborate with team members to understand requirements, set priorities, and communicate progress. Plan and align multiple teams and resources per project requirements. Monitor activities and helps team remove roadblocks. 
  • Own all operational metrics and support of team’s delivered product. Ensure product meets defined business outcomes and value. 
  • Manage Agile processes, coach cross-functional teams, collaborate with stakeholders, and foster an Agile culture for delivering quality products, while mentoring team members and optimizing value delivery.
  • Drive project lifecycle execution improvements. Embrace routine management and continually refine stand work. Stay abreast of Agile process development and tools. Recommends applications and tools to deliver value, improve velocity and increase product quality.

Required Experience

  • Experience with overall software product delivery process.
  • Experience with portfolio setup and management of projects.
  • Experience with automation testing, performance engineering, CI/CD, release management and deployment processes. 
  • Experience with applying quality throughout the Software development lifecycle.
  • Proficient expertise in driving agile transformation and other project methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience with a distributed delivery model leading remote and contract team.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess User needs, creatively approach solutions, and influence appropriate outcomes.
  • Foster a passion for people leadership rooted in helping your team do their best work
  • Proficient in defining, evolving, executing agile maturity assessments.
  • Experience leading and managing digital transformation programs.
  • Functional experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, etc.
  • Knowledge of industry standard methodologies and frameworks.
  • Participate in, adhere to, and administer regulatory and compliance requirements such as SOX, ISO and other QMS policies.

Skills

  • Certification in development tools, SDLC, Agile and/or project management preferred. 
  • Strong understanding of all phases of the application development lifecycle and project management disciplines. 
  • Ability to lead multiple teams and provide regular coaching sessions, reviews and develop plans to improve skill sets. 
  • Strong professional verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Strong analytical skills and technical skills. 
  • Manages large and complex projects and a proven record of meeting project deadlines. 
  • Ability to identify root cause for complex problems and issues in applications / systems and implement permanent solutions. 
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to adapt to frequently changing priorities. 
  • Ability to negotiate with suppliers and partner with contract resources in the best interest of STERIS.
