Hennepin County District Court invites qualified applicants for a Temporary Court Operations Associate position assigned to the Civil Division-Housing Court. Housing Court is a specialty court involving landlord-tenant disputes, such as evictions.
Court Operations Associates work individually and in teams using independent judgment along with available resources to perform a variety of administrative assignments that require dedication to providing excellent customer service, strong attention to detail, and technological skills to match our fast-paced, high-volume, electronic environment.
This AFSCME-represented position is classified as Court Operations Associate. Housing Court is located on the third floor of the Hennepin County Government Center at 300 South 6th Street, C-300, Minneapolis, MN 55487. Core business hours are 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, but hours may vary depending on business needs. Staff in this position work primarily onsite. Training is onsite. Limited remote work opportunities are available to trained staff, depending on business needs. A reliable internet connection will be required if working remotely.

Provide excellent customer service by assisting and communicating with court users in a professional, courteous, and respectful manner to ensure the customer's needs are effectively met in person, over the phone, or through electronic means.
Provide courtroom support by working and corresponding with judicial officers, court reporters, justice partners, and court customers to effectively manage court calendars and meet the business needs of the court.
Accurately complete administrative work in an office and courtroom environment by performing high-level case processing, data entry, and financial transactions for housing cases utilizing court technology.
Coordinate, communicate, and collaborate with team members to ensure daily work assignments and case processing are completed efficiently and accurately.
Review and process all filings for timeliness, statutory compliance, and proper document security as required by local and courtwide policies and procedures.
