Where the Chemistry Happens
We are seeking a professional like you to ensure the optimization of plant processes within the assigned area. This includes improving process operating methods and process parameters, optimizing energy consumption, and implementing capital and continuous improvement projects. The role will include efforts to facilitate and contribute to systematic reductions in unplanned production losses within the production processes. In this role, you will be the process expert for the assigned area and carry the responsibility for documenting and implementing operational best practices working with the global technical experts.

- Ensuring Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) conformity within the plant.
- You will build coach and develop team members to reach their full potential by building strong teams, coaching, and influencing team members.
- Developing and influencing a longer-term strategy for the site in the areas of expansion, debottlenecking and optimization efforts.
- Performing E&I Project Engineering duties in support of Business AOP, management of E&I Capital objectives, and Six Sigma initiatives.
- Providing daily assistance as needed to operations and maintenance around troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of problems to meet the site’s production commitments.
- Assisting during the construction and start-up phases for capital projects. You will also provide field support and review the work to ensure it is installed and functions according to the design documents.
- Collaborating in the OPEX/Continuous Improvement process and participating in/lead AIM's (RCA) investigations, management of change, PSSRs, and PHAs.
Qualifications - Internal
Your formula for success…
- Experience in manufacturing within the chemical industry or related bachelor’s degree in engineering with 5-7 years of experience preferred.
- Experience leading and developing teams desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, also excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
- Ability to work in a diverse team environment through working closely with mechanics, operators, engineers, and management to solve problems and address systemic issues related to equipment reliability.
- Sound technical knowledge of instrumentation, automation, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
