About our team:
Welcome to Database Engineering. We add value by providing our customers with reliable, scalable and cost efficient Database Infrastructure. As a Database SME you’ll be supporting the Platform Owner setting the strategic direction for the Database ecosystem as well as planning and executing on our roadmap. You will join the Database Engineering team and collaborate with the Infrastructure Specialist, Network Specialist, Operation Specialist and Developers to optimize operation stability and platform performance. Act as 3rd level support in all matters related to databases and interfaces with external vendors in case of incidents and escalations. Can take part in 24x7 on call.
What you’ll be doing:
- Mature database services to provide automated services, CI/CD tools and Infrastructure as code.
- Participate in development of future standards with architecture team and PO, driven by business needs.
- Focus on business requirements and understanding of the value chain to deliver the right solution.
- Actively manage and perform Root Cause Analysis and reviews to prevent
- Incidents (Major) from re-occurring.
- Analyse and optimize database performance to optimise infrastructure utilisation
- Provide guidance to less experienced team members to share knowledge.
- Actively work together with members of other teams to ensure timely deliveries.
- Drive and participate actively in Task Forces and Focus Groups to improve operational stability.
- Participate in project activities.
You’ll join a Team of Database Platform Owners and Database Engineers. The role is based in Gdynia, Warsaw, Poland or Helsinki, Finland.

Your experience and background:
- MS SQL and Windows Server knowledge on a senior administrative level
- Experience with SQL databases on Azure
