About the role

As part of the Strategic Product and Customer Engagement Team, a developer plays a critical role in aligning technical details various service teams and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, and driving end-to-end execution of complex projects. This developer will design, coordinate, and execute technical solutions that have huge impact to our customer experience and scalability. Understanding various cloud technologies and technical trade-offs, the ideal candidate will be an exceptionally strong communicator, both written and verbally, have a well-rounded technical background, and come with a history of leading large-scale projects end-to-end.

As an engineer on the strategic customers team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our cloud infrastructure solutions are designed and built with the highest level of scalability in mind.  You will partner with other development teams responsible for architecting, designing, and implementing solutions within a distributed computing environment that lead to the best customer experience.  

Candidate Profile:

  • 10+ years distributed cloud engineering experience in a software development environment
  • Development experience in Java/C++/C# as well as scripting languages
  • Experience working with other cloud platform teams and accommodating requirements from those teams (compute, networking, storage, identity).
  • Written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner to all audiences
  • Comfortably in a collaborative, agile development environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong experience and detailed technical knowledge in distributed systems, high performance computing and GPU systems
  • Familiarity and understanding of distributed computing and cloud-based platforms.
  • Understanding of cross-functional platform feature areas in cloud platforms.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $109,200 to $178,700 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
