Medical Records Clerk (65031)

Pay range:  $17 - $29/hour (Depending on years of experience)

Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services.   We are currently seeking a Full-time Medical Records Clerk to join our team at Chesapeake Detention Facility & Central Home Detention Unit.

The Medical Records Clerk maintains offender health records, retrieves health records for scheduled appointments, files offender health data, initiates records for new or transferred intakes.  They review health records for completeness, files records as required, prepares reports as needed and more.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Medical terminology course completion preferred
• Computer, office/electronic data input and work with electronic health record experience preferred
• Office equipment use including copier and fax.
• One-year medical office experience preferred in a physician/outpatient clinic, community hospital setting or correctional environment preferred.

Available shift:  Full-time, Days, 40hours/week
