Accounting Manager Consultant responsibilities for clients include:
Supervise, track and evaluate day-to-day financial activities for Emerging Growth (small business) clients. Manage and oversee the daily operation of accountants on the outsourced accounting team.
Job Description
Accounting Manager Consultant is part of the outsourced accounting team, which may include an Accountant, Sr. Accountant, Accounting Manager, Controller and CFO. The Accounting Manager Consultant is responsible for implementing accounting and financial processes using RoseRyan’s core technology systems to prepare management and board financial reports. The Accounting Manager Consultant manages the month and year-end close processes, ensuring daily transactional tasks (accounts payable/receivables, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, cash forecasting, etc) are completed timely and accurately. Provides guidance, training and mentoring to the team.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce accurate and timely financial reports and statements.
- Monitor and analyze department workflow to develop efficient procedures and use of resources,
- Meet financial accounting objectives. Ensure all deadlines are met.
- Supervise accountants, provide training and mentoring. Provide on-going performance feedback to team members, including periodic written feedback.
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles. Provide recommendations to the Controller for process improvement.
- Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Utilize RoseRyan best practice standard tools, templates and methodologies in delivery of client services and interacting with RoseRyan personnel; ensure entire RoseRyan team is utilizing these tools.
- Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
Position is Hybrid; local to Bay Area preferred. 2-3 Days on-site.
Requirements
- BS degree in Accounting or Finance
- Proven knowledge of GAAP and accounting processes
- Minimum 5 years prior supervisory experience in accounting or finance
- Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases, QBO preferred
