About the role
The Assistant Director of Enrichment Services supports the execution of student-centered enrichment initiatives that promote belonging and leadership among diverse populations. This role manages the daily operations of the LU ONE Student Success Program and assists with the coordination of leadership and mentorship programs. The Assistant Director tracks student engagement, supports program implementation, and ensures operational efficiency across enrichment initiatives under the direction of the Associate Director.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Implementation & Support
- Assist with the execution of enrichment initiatives that promote student belonging, leadership, and persistence.
- Collaborate with the Associate Director to support leadership development and mentorship programming.
- Contribute to planning, logistics, and delivery of student-facing events and activities.
- Support the spiritual formation and growth of students.
Operational Management
- Oversee daily operations of the LU ONE Student Success Program.
- Ensure smooth execution of program activities, resource allocation, and communication.
- Maintain organized systems for scheduling, logistics, and documentation.
Student Engagement & Tracking
- Monitor and track student participation and engagement across enrichment programs.
- Analyze engagement trends and provide input to strengthen student involvement.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to student activities and outcomes.
- Coordinate mentoring programs for scholarship recipients, including regular monitoring and reporting of student progress.
Collaboration & Administrative Support
- Work closely with the Associate Director to align program activities with strategic goals.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support cross-departmental efforts.
- Provide administrative and coordination support to enhance program effectiveness.
- Collaborate with CASAS, securing services and support for students, including all programming and tutoring.
- Co-ordinate, and lead the SPARK program requirements. This includes, but is not limited to curriculum, programming, and budgetary decisions.
QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree required. Master's Degree preferred in Curriculum and Instruction, Higher Education Administration, Leadership, Student Personnel, or related field.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in Student Activities, Student Affairs, Leadership, and/or Orientation in higher education.
- Knowledge and application of student development and learning theory in advancing policies and procedures supporting student success.
- Record of strategic administrative leadership and experience managing and supervising professional and support staff.
- Demonstrated use of data in strategic budgetary decisions.
- Leadership in complex event management.
- To obtain LU-approved driver certification, individuals must be at least 21 years of age or older, possess a valid driver's license with a minimum of five (5) years documented driving history, and maintain a clean driving record.
ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES ESSENTIAL TO THE FUNCTION OF THE JOB
Communication and Comprehension
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey clear, concise, and well-articulated information to diverse audiences.
- Proficient in understanding, speaking, and writing English to ensure professional and articulate correspondence across multiple platforms.
- Skilled in public communication, representing Liberty University professionally to business partners, community members, and campus stakeholders.
- Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain accuracy in communications.
- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, communication tools, and data management systems.

- Strong analytical and reasoning skills with the ability to assess information and situations intuitively.
- Proven ability to apply sound judgment to identify and resolve both routine and complex problems effectively.
- Skilled in evaluating data and events to develop practical, solution-focused strategies that support student success.
- Capable of anticipating potential challenges and proactively implementing interventions to address them.
- Demonstrated flexibility and creativity in problem-solving within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
