Primary Duties

  • Student work arranged through the Professional Practice Program of the University of Cincinnati as an extension of classroom and laboratory teaching by practice in a chosen profession. These assignments alternate practical work experience with periods of classroom study.
  • Perform various duties related specific field of study.
  • 1st tier user phone/remote/in-person support for classrooms supported by ECSS. 

    • Assist with classroom checklist procedures.
    • Assist in troubleshooting and replacement of AV/IT equipment.
    • Perform supervisor assigned tasks Assist with room system and equipment upgrades working with AV install team.
    •  Provide in-person orientations for end users. 

Minimum Requirements

Co-op employment must be related to some phase of the field of study in which the student is engaged, and diversified to afford a range of experience. Co-op students must meet the enrollment requirement for the entire quarter.

  • Excellent customer service skills 
  • Basic IT knowledge

    Career Path

    A ULEO Apprentice will be eligible for promotion to ULEO 1 upon attendance and successful completion of a certified Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy (OPOTA).

    • Candidates must pass a physical agility assessment, background investigation, polygraph examination, psychological assessment, and a written test.

     

    Physical Agility Assessment: An email will be sent to all qualifying applicants, stating the date and time of the Physical Agility Assessment and will include a "Medical Release Certification" and a waiver.
