Our Raytheon Global Ethics & Compliance (GEC) team has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director who will be a member of the Ethics & Business Conduct (E&BC) leadership team responsible for the implementation of the various aspects of the ethics & compliance program across the Raytheon business. Specifically, this person, along with their two direct reports, has primary responsibility for the processes to review and disposition conflicts of interest, post government employee restrictions, business courtesy requests, and an annual certification process.  Because Raytheon has business operations across the globe, awareness of international regulations in these areas is also important.  Additionally, this position will be an integrated partner with the Raytheon business to proactively engage on various issues, identify trends, and collaborate on solutions within the organization.  The E&BC team is seen as the proactive, mitigation arm of the broader GEC team focused on the Code of Conduct, values, and other core program elements, and thus training, communications, and other engagement opportunities are a core responsibility of the entire team. 

This role is ideal for an experienced professional who has demonstrated successful leadership in the areas of ethics, compliance, legal, or other related disciplines, with experience working for defense contractors or the U.S. Government.  The successful candidate will support the Legal, Contracts and Compliance function. and report to the lead of the E&BC team.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the team responsible for our review and disposition of conflicts of interest, post government employee restrictions, business courtesies, and other related compliance issues

  • Develop process guidance and policy interpretations for the E&BC team members and others to reference

  • Receive and respond to questions and concerns from employees consistent with RTX and Raytheon policies and the Code of Conduct

  • Review and provide guidance to employees on a range of ethics and compliance topics such as conflicts of interest, business courtesies, labor charging, etc., consistent with applicable policies, the Code of Conduct, and processes

  • Properly document employee questions and guidance provided in Raytheon GEC’s case management system (SAI Global Compliance 360) consistent with internal standards and with a clear focus on data integrity

  • Manage at least two direct reports

  • Coordinate with colleagues in legal, human resources, GEC, and other groups to ensure proper disposition of matters

  • Develop and rollout training and communications to managers and employees

  • Support enterprise-wide GEC initiatives and process improvements to ensure alignment across various stakeholders

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Occasional domestic travel as needed

Qualifications You Must Have  

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience

  • At least 4 years of ethics and compliance experience

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

  • Prior experience as a people manager

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience reviewing and providing guidance on conflicts of interest, post government employee restrictions, business courtesies, and other ethics and compliance policies (for example: labor charging, Code of Conduct, business expenses, etc.)

  • Ability to collaborate effectively and independently with individuals at all levels in the organization including executives

  • Experience prioritizing multiple projects in a deadline-or
