Are you interested in an internship in human resources that provides a unique perspective to the field? Join National Heritage Academies (NHA) this summer as a Business Partner Intern!   

This is a paid in-person internship in our Grand Rapids Service Center office. The duration of the internship is mid-May through early August. Internships are for those enrolled in a college/university program or a recent graduate. In this role, you will work at our Service Center located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This is where all the behind-the-scenes magic happens. In This Role:     

 

The Business Partner team is a strategic human resource partner that liaisons between our school stakeholders and those in our corporate headquarters (Service Center). As an intern on our team, you help with the following:

 

  • Supporting our schools in preparing and administering summer learning programs Reviewing trends and gathering feedback from the field; creating reports and presentations for key stakeholders based on data analysis.
  • Participating in cross-function project teams on initiatives to improve our current processes and provide support to stakeholders. Assisting with auditing organizational data for accuracy and compliance.       
  • Become a knowledge expert in multiple CRMs and our HRIS, Oracle. 

 

While assisting with these vital pieces of the business you also get to work with a dynamic group of individuals with varying backgrounds and experiences that like to work hard and play hard. These individuals are committed to providing the best intern experience and ensuring a well-rounded experience. 

 

Qualifications: 

 

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal. You will have opportunities to meet or speak with executives, school leaders, candidates, etc. and being able to communicate effectively can help you along your journey.
  • Organizational skills and time management skills. You will be balancing multiple tasks at a time so being able to stay organized and manage your day will help ensure a successful and impactful internship. 
  • Driven. Someone who can push their projects forward and desire to grow as an HR professional to help bring projects to the finish line and bring your own flare to them.

 

 

What We Offer You:  

  • 40 hours/week 
  • Onsite Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm   
  • $15.50/hour
  • Scheduled events and meetings with company leaders!
