About the role

Description

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Logistics Associate is fully trained on all Shipping and Receiving operations enumerated below. The Logistics Associate reports to the Supply Chain Manager.

SHIPPING OPERATIONS

- Tasked with preparing, packaging, and creating paperwork for all outbound shipping needs

- Daily email to customers to communicate shipping status and tracking information

- Utilizes Shipping Schedule to prioritize work and meet daily priorities

- Updates Live Shipping Schedule throughout the day

Traceability

- Data entry for shipped product lot information to Traceability 

Finished Goods

- Receives in all finished product from Audit department, into Finished Goods Inventory

- May be asked to complete cycle counts in Finished Goods at the direction of the Shipping Specialist or Supply Chain Manager

RECEIVING RESPONSIBILITIES

Digital and Physical Receiving Operations for the following types of receipts

- Purchased Parts used in assembly

- Plastic Raw Materials used in manufacturing

- Items requested and purchased in the internal purchasing process

- RMA receipts from the customer

Freight Operations

- POC for all freight related operations, shipping or receiving, during shift

Cycle Counting

- Completes scheduled cycle counts of raw materials at the direction of the Supply Chain Manager

Supplier or Internal Purchase RMA Coordination at the direction of the purchaser

- Physical and Digital movement of product being returned to suppliers

Material Warehouse Organization

- Maintains an organized workspace in the materials warehouse

- Stores received materials and concentrates as directed by the Supply Chain Manager


Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or GED

Computer Literacy & Knowledge in Data Entry

Must be able to work during the core business hours of 8am – 4:30pm, M-F

Previous Experience in Shipping & Receiving (1-2 years)

PREFERRED SKILLS

Excellent Attendance

Good Written and Verbal Communications Skills

Ability to Self-Prioritize Daily Tasks

Previous Experience in Inventory Control

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This job requires daily physical movement of boxes and product up to 50lbs. Must be able to lift and maneuver 50lbs on an ongoing basis. Some daily work time will be spent sitting or standing at your computer, completing daily tasks. The noise level in this work environment varies from quiet to moderate.
