The position is full-time, and AMT will provide the flexibility and necessary equipment to work from home 2 to 3 days per week, as agreed upon with the Transportation Group Leader. As a project team member, you will be responsible for (1) providing oversite using your knowledge of engineering principles and practices to interpret, organize coordinate, communicate, and execute necessary assignments to accomplish the goals, objectives, and fulfill the purpose of the client, (2) confirming all work is performed and completed in strict accordance with contract documents, (3) participating as a technical advisor to the Client Owner and other team members, (4) delivering scope, meeting the schedule, and adhering to budget for assigned projects, (5) mentoring and teaching skills to engineers and other team members, (6) contributing in proposal preparation and assisting with business development related activities, and (7) assisting with other required tasks.

Responsibilities
- As a Transportation Project Manager, the selected candidate will be responsible for; client coordination, managing a design team, coordinating with other design disciplines, performing Quality Control reviews, preparing scope and fee proposals, adhering to project budgets and schedules, and assisting with RFP responses and presentations.
- The selected candidate will be responsible for leading a design team and preparing roadway, sidewalk and storm drainage construction plans for a variety of infrastructure improvement projects.
- Projects to be managed may include the following design and support tasks: roadway, trail and sidewalk design; open and closed system storm drainage design; stormwater management design; erosion and sediment control plans; Transportation Management Plans; signing and pavement marking plans; traffic signal plans; quantity and cost estimating; utility adjustment plans and coordination; and other engineering design and support tasks related to the development of roadway construction plans
Minimum Qualifications
- Virginia licensed Professional Engineer
- Minimum of 10 years Transportation Engineering experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and lead a design team
- Technical proficiency with Microstation and OpenRoads Designer
- Must possess strong communication skills, both written and oral
