About the role

Purpose of Position

The Accounts Receivable Administrator is responsible for supporting EJM in optimizing financial transactions and systems by performing reconciliation of payments and customer accounts in Great Plains. The Accounts Receivable Administrator works with Management on analysis of accounts to make recommendations and decisions concerning overall credit risk. The Accounts Receivable Administrator will communicate with EJM customers regarding their accounts in an effort to continue strengthening and growing relationships. The Accounts Receivable Administrator will indicate areas for performance improvement  in streamlining the Accounts Receivable process.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Responsible of maintaining accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up-to-date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are account for, and miscellaneous difference are cleared in the GL. 
  • Perform daily cash management duties, including the recording of bank deposits, updating and distribution of cash receipt logs, and posting of the cash to the accounts receivable sub-ledger.
  • Monitor and collect accounts receivable by communicating with clients via telephone, email, and mail. Ensure documentation on the communication
  • Collaborate with the Owners Accounting Coordinator (OACs) to assess and suggest remunerations to owners
  • Prepare analytical and ratio analyses relevant to A/R, providing an in-depth overview of how collection efforts are progressing for management. 
  • Completes Ad-Hoc reporting and inquiries as needed for Accounting Team, Management, and Internal Customers
  • Time and process management, including the ability to prioritize multiple simultaneous deadlines, set priorities, and work under pressure.
  • Strong financial skills and understanding of financial concepts and business principles.
