Job Description
Primary Objective:
The emphasis of this role will be supporting the MTS Service business by partnering with accounting, finance, and functional business leaders to drive achievement of financial goals through planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis.
Major Areas of Accountability:
1. Develop and deliver timely reporting and analysis to drive functional management decision making and performance measurement.
2. Support the financial planning and analysis manager, including:
- Monitoring and administering the financial status of customer orders and related projects, including detailed revenue and cost plans, project and order risk assessment and coverage, and recommendations for reserves and contingencies.
- Developing and maintaining unit revenue, margin, period cost, and SG&A projections
- Support functional owners with departmental expense budgeting processes, and the financial aspects of strategic business planning as part of the overall sector and unit budgeting and planning processes.
- Special projects, as assigned
3. Support the accounting team with Service-related month-end close processes and ensure the ongoing integrity of revenue and cost accounting in accordance with Company policies
4. Develop methods and tools to support financial data collection, performance modeling, statistical analysis, and complex reporting.
5. Support management in financial planning activities, including annual budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Implement, utilize, and maintain planning systems and tools. Lead system and tool enhancement projects.
- Develop and execute process schedules, formats, templates, and outputs.
6. Establish, maintain, and monitor adequate internal controls including procedures, documentation, and processes to ensure the integrity of the financial information and compliance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Company policies and procedures.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business (Finance or Accounting emphasis)
Experience: 5+ years of relative experience
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship.
