Your role at Vantive

The Senior Manager, HR – Global R&D serves as a key HR partner to R&D leadership teams, supporting the execution of HR strategies that enable organizational effectiveness and talent development across global R&D functions. This role focuses on leading & implementing HR initiatives, providing consultative guidance to leaders, and ensuring alignment with the company’s culture and business objectives. The role also manages HR team members.

What you'll be doing

  • HR Partnership & Consultation: Act as a trusted advisor to R&D leaders on HR-related matters, including workforce planning, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness.

  • Talent Management Execution: Implement talent processes, including succession planning, performance management, and development programs in collaboration with global HR teams.

  • Organizational Support: Drive organizational design efforts and provide recommendations to improve team structures and efficiency.

  • Team Leadership: Manage and develop direct reports, ensuring alignment with HR priorities and fostering a high-performing team culture.

  • Employee Relations: Manage employee relations issues within R&D, ensuring compliance with local and global labor laws and mitigating risk.

  • Change Management Support: Partner with leaders to implement change initiatives, fostering adaptability and engagement throughout transitions.

  • Culture & Engagement: Drive initiatives that reinforce company culture and enhance employee engagement within R&D teams.

  • HR Program Implementation: Execute global HR programs and processes (e.g., compensation reviews, talent assessments) within the R&D function.

  • Data & Insights: Analyze HR metrics and provide actionable insights to leaders on workforce trends, engagement, and retention.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other HR Business Partners and Centers of Excellence to ensure cohesive HR support across regions and functions.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including experience supporting leadership teams.

  • Prior experience managing direct reports required.

  • Experience in R&D or similar technical environments within healthcare, med tech, or related industries preferred.

  • Strong HR business partner experience with demonstrated ability to influence and partner with business leaders.

  • Demonstrated success as an HR business partner supporting senior leaders in complex, cross-functional environments.

  • Expertise in talent management, organizational development, and employee relations within technical functions.

  • Proven ability to lead and develop HR team members, fostering performance and engagement.

  • Skilled in driving change initiatives and organizational design to improve team effectiveness.

  • Analytical and data-driven mindset with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

At Vantive, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $136,000 - $190,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position.
