THE JOB:

The Director of Parking and Perimeter Security Operations is responsible for the strategic leadership and efficient management of parking and perimeter security across assigned MGM Resorts International properties. This role oversees daily operations, including garage patrols, perimeter monitoring, security for major events, and threat and risk assessments. The Director works closely with property leadership and Global Security to ensure a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests and employees. With a strong focus on guest service, operational excellence, and cost-effective strategies, this position drives safety while positively impacting overall profitability. Success in the role requires exceptional leadership, sound decision-making, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to build and influence cross-functional partnerships.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Oversee daily perimeter security operations, including staffing, training, patrols, incident response, and administrative tasks.

• Manage event security planning and execution in coordination with property teams.

• Evaluate and update training, SOPs, and emergency procedures to close operational gaps and ensure high guest service standards.

• Ensure compliance with MGM Resorts policies and applicable laws; communicate changes effectively.

• Monitor security patrols and fleet operations to enforce preventative safety measures.

• Collaborate with GSOC and property security leaders on threat identification, incident monitoring, and intelligence sharing.

• Recruit, train, and develop high-performing security teams, implementing best practices and performance standards.

• Partner with internal stakeholders to deliver innovative, guest-focused security solutions.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in a security management role, with a proven track record of leading teams and overseeing complex operations.

• They will bring 3 or more years of operational leadership experience within a hospitality, resort, or special event environment, demonstrating strong coordination, communication, and guest service skills.

• A bachelor’s degree in business management, Criminal Justice, or a related field is preferred, along with prior leadership experience in a resort and gaming setting.

• Candidates with formal law enforcement or military leadership experience, particularly those who have managed large teams at the division level, will be especially well-suited for this role.

• A valid Nevada driver’s license is required.

• The candidate should be a proactive problem solver with strong decision-making abilities, capable of influencing across teams and driving operational excellence in a dynamic environment.
