Maintenance Tech- JLL
What this job involves:
As a Maintenance Tech at JLL, you'll be an essential member of our engineering team, helping maintain and repair the buildings and systems that keep our clients' operations running smoothly. This hands-on role involves performing general maintenance and preventive repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other installed systems under engineering supervision. You'll work closely with Operating Engineers and Chief Engineers, learning from experienced professionals while contributing your technical skills to ensure building systems function reliably. What your day-to-day will look like:
• Assist the engineering team with maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, and installed systems including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components
• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs under engineering supervision to keep all building systems operating efficiently
• Replace lighting and ballasts as needed throughout the facility
• Update work order status in real-time using CMMS systems and maintain appropriate service documentation
• Conduct facility inspections and report on conditions affecting client occupancy and operations
• Maintain tools, parts, equipment, and supplies in clean and safe conditions while complying with policies for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials
• Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs and complete all required safety training
Required qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical
• Experience with hand tools and power tools
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work from heights up to 30 feet on a ladder
• Capable of frequently climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and working/extending overhead
• Willingness to work in adverse conditions including extreme cold and extreme hot environments
• Ability to maintain effective communication with team members and clients
Preferred qualifications:
• Strong customer service skills with ability to interact professionally with building occupants and clients
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with engineering team members
• Previous experience supporting on-call or emergency response situations
• Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) for work order tracking and documentation

Estimated compensation for this position:
45,700.00 – 66,300.00 USD per yearThis range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
