JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Business Innovation & Technology (BIT) department at Jefferson County as a Business Analyst. The successful candidate will be a team player, self-motivated, and goal oriented. They will have a proven background in identifying customer needs, evaluating innovative solutions, and implementing new technologies.   

 

Business Analysts on our team help shape the role technology plays in government. They act as liaisons with county departments and collaborate with them on digital transformation initiatives to support their strategic goals. They promote a culture of creativity, innovation, value, and exceptional customer experience. They must be dynamic facilitators able to work with a diverse set of projects and teams.

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes: 

•  Broad understanding of emerging technologies with a proven ability to evaluate and implement them. Examples of technologies previously implemented include AI-powered chatbots, GIS mapping tools, and business intelligence solutions. 

• Effective at building collaborative relationships with both customers and IT teams. 

• Ability to translate high-level objectives into actionable plans. 

• Skilled communicator across presentations, written materials, and oral discussions. 

• Proven ability to create business cases and make recommendations. 

• Strong knowledge of the principles and practices of business analysis, business process  
  improvement, and project management. 

 

SCHEDULE: 

This position operates on our four-day work week (Monday-Thursday) and is hybrid, with in-office work as needed and in alignment with department and team expectations. 

 

COMPENSATION:  

Hiring Range: $80,000-$103,000 USD Annually 

Compensation will be determined based on education, experience and skills.
