Position Overview:
The Sr. Physician Recruitment & Residency Engagement Partner is a key talent leader responsible for driving full-cycle physician recruitment across multiple service lines and markets, while also owning the development of robust early-career pipelines through residency and fellowship program engagement. This role partners closely with clinical and regional leadership to anticipate workforce needs, define recruitment strategies, and ensure a high-quality candidate experience.
In addition to leading proactive sourcing and recruitment initiatives, this role plays a critical part in building long-term relationships with academic institutions and training programs to attract and convert top emerging physician talent. The ideal candidate brings a strategic mindset, deep knowledge of the physician landscape, and the ability to execute both high-volume searches and long-range pipeline development efforts.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the full‑cycle recruitment process for physicians across multiple specialties and locations.
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans using job boards, databases, professional associations, social media, networking events, and referrals to attract physician candidates.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified physician candidates through proactive engagement and relationship management.
- Own residency and fellowship program engagement: develop relationships with academic institutions and program leadership to establish early‑career physician pipelines.
- Partner with department chairs, medical directors, and regional leadership to define physician position requirements, timelines, and selection criteria.
- Screen and assess physician candidates for clinical competence, cultural fit, and alignment with the organization’s values.
- Coordinate interviews, site visits, and candidate travel as needed.
- Ensure a seamless candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding.
- Negotiate offer terms and facilitate the offer process in collaboration with compensation and legal teams.
- Maintain accurate recruitment data, metrics, and reports in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Represent the organization at physician recruitment fairs, conferences, and networking events.
- Stay informed on physician workforce trends, market adjustments, and competitive intelligence to continuously refine recruitment strategies.
- Establish, track, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as time‑to‑fill, pipeline conversion, source effectiveness, and candidate satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of physician recruitment and residency program development, preferably in a multi-specialty function.
- Proven track record of success in sourcing, attracting, and hiring physicians.
- Experience in high growth fast-paced organizations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in recruitment software, application tracking systems (UKG is a plus) and other related systems.
Compensation
Compensation is commensurate to compensation for similar positions in the region and based on prior training and experience
