Job Purpose

Candidates for this role can be based in any of the following states: NY, North NJ, CT, MA

This position will report directly to the National Sales Director and oversee a regional team of sales specialists and provide leadership to achieve sales goals using the Company’s marketing strategies as well as managing performance and effective communications with the sales team, internal team members and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve or exceed sales objectives in assigned Region.
  • Recruit, manage, train and motivate direct reporting staff according to company procedures and policies.
  • Develop and execute a strategic Regional Sales Plan focused on key accounts and business drivers supporting national brand and corporate strategies.
  • Provide clear and compliant direction for the achievement of sales goals within the region using marketing plans and pull through of managed markets strategies.
  • Understand and train the region on the managed care landscape to ensure effective pull through.
  • Coordinate field visits with the Regional Training Specialist to assure consistent training and development support for Regional Sales Specialists.
  • Manage regional budget and allocate resources as appropriate.
  • Monitor external trends and competitive market share findings with the National Sales Director.
  • Develop quarterly/annual pull-through plans and align quarterly sales efforts to meet annual objectives.
  • Accountable for executing and delivering quarterly business reviews as indicated by the NSD.
  • Fully understand and train region on IC Plan components and how to achieve goals set
  • Develop and maintain relationships with outside partners such as Institutions, Clinics and Networks to maximize sales results.
  • Establish relationships with Key Thought Leaders.
  • Manage all areas of the sales teams’ performance including selling skills, administrative duties, development, and career progression.
  • Work on regional and national projects as assigned by the National Sales Director.
  • Enforce all policies and ensure compliance with all Field activities

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 2 to 8 years of prior pharmaceutical sales management experience.
  • Parkinson’s Disease Sales Management is preferred.
  • Track record of success, leading others by example and through direct authority.
  • Proven, successful sales leadership experience within healthcare systems, therapeutic area, and/or specialty.
  • Dynamic, self-starter with strong influential skills as well as entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skill set to identify and execute on regional business trends and opportunities.
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of integrated healthcare systems, healthcare market and managed care processes.
  • Broad cross-functional experience in other commercial roles, such as marketing, sales operations, training, national/corporate accounts, managed markets, hospital markets, etc. is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • This position will require 70% overnight travel.
  • This position requires a a valid driver’s license.
