The Analyst is a critical member of the Class Programs & Reunion Campaigns (“CPRC”) team who develops and creates in-depth analysis and reporting to track, assess and guide fundraising strategy. The analyst also supports the development of policies and procedures to ensure CPRC’s reporting and analytics needs are fully met and effectively prioritized. They will develop and improve systems, processes, reports and analytical tools that will help the CPRC team effectively measure performance, make data-driven business decisions and accurately forecast future trends. In addition to macro-level data analysis, the analyst will provide tools for the assessment of team-wide and individual performance, guidance into resource allocation and investment, and implementation of team trainings and professional development. Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Mine and analyze data from various data sources to drive improvement in communications, business strategies and donation techniques.

  • Collect, clean, and analyze large data sets from various sources using statistical tools and data visualization techniques to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform strategic fundraising and engagement decisions.

  • Maintain knowledge of Tableau with the ability to build and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards which empower analysis for both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to discuss predictive models, helping adjust solicitation and communication techniques with the goal of increasing donor counts.

  • Quantify and qualify CPRC results and assess them within the context of overall Advancement goals and performance measures.

  • Integrate data insights into weekly reporting to highlight the performance of the CPRC team to senior leadership allowing the development of specific goals and projections for team performance.

  • Apply statistical methods to collect, organize, interpret, and summarize data to provide information to OA Executive team and CPRC leadership.

  • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of data gathering techniques, with the ability to integrate, prepare, and uncover new technologies where appropriate.

  • Manage and structure data collection to develop and curate reports from the data warehouse, resulting in disseminated for team requests to provide insight into performance 

  • Conduct donation data extrapolation through cleaning and scrutinizing vast donor dollar reports, identifying the location of the dollar change to inform the greater team.

  • Develop, analyze, and track team budget by reviewing financial data reports, preparing spending estimates, tracking expenditures, and detecting potential anomalies leading to data-informed recommendations and allocation.

  • Effectively manage and prioritize multiple concurrent projects that require communication from multiple data sources while managing team needs and data precision.

  • Assist in employee hiring, orientation, training, and professional development.

  • Create and manage project timelines and work streams, ensuring data accuracy and timely delivery
