WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Weld Inspector to join us. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of welded structures and components by conducting thorough inspections and tests. This role involves paying close attention to detail, analyzing information effectively, and possessing an extensive knowledge of welding processes and standards.
Conduct visual inspections of welded joints and structures to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.
Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) methods such as ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle, and dye penetrant testing.
Review and interpret welding procedures, codes, and standards.
Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of findings.
Collaborate with welding personnel to address and resolve any issues or defects.
Provide recommendations for corrective actions and improvements to welding processes.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations during inspections.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in welding technology.
YOU HAVE:
Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) certification from the American Welding Society (AWS)
Minimum of [X] years of experience in welding inspection and quality control.
Proficiency in non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques.
Strong knowledge of welding codes, standards, and procedures.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
Effective communication and social skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional certifications in NDT methods.
Experience with automated welding inspection systems.
Familiarity with welding software and tools.
