Actuarial Services Advisor, Insurance and Actuarial Services (IAAS) (Property & Casualty) - Financial Services Office (Senior)(Multiple Positions) (1567096), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, Tysons (McLean), VA.
Support insurance and actuarial advisory engagement teams providing services to clients in the property and casualty insurance industry. Focus on loss reserving analysis, insurable risk management, predictive modeling and customer analytics, Actuarial Transformation modeling, rate setting, financial forecasting, valuation, tax analysis and mergers and acquisition support.
Provide technical guidance and share knowledge with team members with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services focusing on more complex, judgmental and/or specialized issues. Demonstrate technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Learn about EY and its service lines and actively assess and present ways to apply knowledge and services.
Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40-45 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field and 2 years of related work experience. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field and 1 year of related work experience.
Must have 1 year of experience in:
-an actuarial role within a consulting firm providing services to Property and Casualty clients; or
-an actuarial role within a Property and Casualty insurance company.
Must have 1 year of experience with Arius, ICRFS, or other actuarial reserving software.
Must have 1 year of experience in Excel, SAS, VBA and/or C++.
Must have passed 3 actuarial exams towards attaining the Associate in the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) designation.
Requires domestic travel up to 40% to meet client needs.
