The New Business & Conflicts Analyst at Wilson Sonsini plays a crucial role in supporting the firm's Conflicts team by managing potential conflicts of interest related to client and matter intake, as well as new attorney and staff hiring. This position is fully remote and operates during west coast business hours, providing an opportunity for professional growth within a leading legal firm that serves technology and life sciences enterprises globally.
Wilson Sonsini is currently looking for a New Business & Conflicts Analyst to join the firm's Conflicts team. This position is fully remote and operates during west coast business hours, providing an opportunity for professional growth within a leading legal firm that serves technology and life sciences enterprises globally. Working under the direction of the Senior Manager, New Business and Conflicts and other in-house counsel, the New Business & Conflicts Analyst independently reports on potential conflicts of interest relating to client and matter intake as well as new attorney and staff hiring.
This position is available as a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
- Perform conflict of interest searches for new clients, new matters, and new hires for assigned group and department mailbox
- Research corporate information
- Create new client and matters and update client information in our accounting database
- Communicate with various personnel within the firm to obtain requisite information to process new clients and matters
- Assist with other duties related to the resolution and clearance of new business and conflicts issues as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 1+ years of relevant experience at a law firm in Conflicts preferred.
- Excellent analytical and research skills
- Able to exercise independent judgment
- Able to work efficiently and independently with a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality and professionalism
The compensation for this position may include overtime and a discretionary year-end merit bonus based on performance. We offer a highly competitive salary and benefits package.
